Midnight Adrenaline Rush

You know what I hate? Bloggers who post stuff only once a year and leave their followers(not that I have many) dangling.Just like those online writers on Quizilla or Wattapad who post a chapter a month so that it takes us poor readers atleast two years to finish one story. Unfortunately, I have become one of those said blogger's  and so I am at no liberty to rant about how annoying people are.

I have to show you a pair of heels I bought weeks ago but  due to sheer lazyness, refused to blog about it. Well, here they are.

I know,I know, I'm a horrible photographer and my E-cam sucks but these shoes are gorgeous. I bought them at Nine West in Select City  Walk,Saket. Now if only I could figure out how to walk in them, they would be perfect.

Another pair of shoes I am crazy about, though I definately can't afford are the Miu Miu glitter ankle boots, which are in this month's issue of Vogue India on page 74. I would love to show you a picture but my lack of computer skills prevent me from doing so.Will try to write more frequently.Ciao!

From One To The Other...

I have been waiting. And waiting and waiting for the gladiator trend to get over. I bought a pair of them about a year ago from mochi in bangalore and I, being my cranky, fusspot, miserly self refuse to buy another one even though those shoes are practically falling of my feet. So I'm  waiting for this never ending trend to curl up and die and for the fashion houses of the world to bring forth, new and utterly delectable shoes.Well the world has finally taken pity on me and given me the chance to tell all of you about the new shoe craze....And the winners are..... WEDGE HEELS! It's probably not official yet, not that I would know as I am sadly out of touch with current affairs( are you sure Manmohan Singh is the prime minister??) but by the amount of wedges I saw when I went to lunch today( yes, i did mange to eat at Set'z!) I'm pretty darn sure that wedges are the new 'IT' thing. If you need further proof, visit the Jimmy Choo site and... Viola! The pre- fall collection is just wedge after wedge after wedge. Now that gladiators have fizzled out( MUAHAHA!!) I shall troop of to the nearest( and cheapest ) store and buy myself a pair of wedges( if only I wasn't broke!)
Here are some very unclear pictures of my sort-of wedges...

So those are my wedges but unfortunately they're lace -ups which are bloody uncomfortable...
maybe in a month or two..( more likely a year!) I can afford to get another pair...!

Makeover Madness( I know, I know, V.V. boring title, but my brain is thouroughly exhausted)

My two ballistic friends, who refuse to be mentioned ( sadly) came over today and we went even more ballistic cooking wayyy too oily pasta and cold coffee with choco squiggles.

The highlight of the day was ultimately our BIGG gossip session, where we TRIED really , really hard to give one unmentionable friend a makeover to get her crush drooling at her heels.Unfortunately she drew the line at KAJAL.. i mean , kajal??? seriously?? Shame on you, unmentionable friend.

to bring things back to a more general topic, HIMYM season 6 is officially over and the season finale is just too cute! for people who have'nt watched it yet check it out on watch-series.com.
Even if HIMYM is over , Glee and Modern Family have started and if your still too impatient to wait 24 hours before you see the next episode check it out on the same site mentioned above. ooohh and the coup de grace has to be that gossip girl season 4 has FINALLY started! Yay! Ofcourse if your sitting at home, procrastinating over the piles of holiday homework lying on your desk,( like me) then I suggest a whole day with a bowl of popcorn, ots of chocolate and your laptop! Au revoir, ma cherie!!

Joy Luck Moon ....... Is It All That??

It was friday, and I had rapturously found out that my summer vacation had been extended till the 11th. In the manner of celebrating,my mom and I dragged ourselves out of the house and to Select Citywalk in Saket. After having had only a strawberry yogurt for breakfast I was ravenously hungry by the time we reached the restraunt in question..... Joy Luck Moon. The dining area was small and cosy and the whole room was decorated in red and black. The staff was reasonably friendly, and the food arrived fast. Our starter was a thai lemon grass salad with prawn. The spicyness of the dressing and the sharp taste of the lemon grass balanced the flavours well, though it made my eyes water with the heat of the dish. The prawns did not look like normal prawns,as they were a bit disfigured but exeedingly juicy and succulent. We were leaning towards thai cuisine and so our main course consisted of a thai green chicken curry, schezwan prawn with green onion and chilli and a bowl of sticky rice. The green curry both looked and tasted dissapointing as the  curry was not altogether green but more of a grayish colour and  the flavours were subtle, too subtle in my opinion. The schezwan prawns were a bit better as the prawns were big and tasty . The semi curry was like any schezwan I have tasted and was nothing worth mentioning. Overall I think the salad was the highlight of our meal and I highly recommend it .
Next week( if I can convince my parents) I will be dining at Setz, that gloriously high profile restraunt where I once happened to glimpse Karan Johar across the crowded room. Now THAT was a meal to remember!

Noooooo MOM! i dont wanna put on sunscreen... * 2 hours later* owww... OWWWWW... it burrrnnnnss!!!!

heyyyyoooo people! I know this is for like 10 year olds and stuff but i'm totally obsessed with a song by.... ( gasps!) MILEY CYRUS! I know. I know... shes a crazy weirdo who should be in a phsychiatric ward and her songs aren't that great either but this one song from the movie' the last song' is really deep and sad and makes me wanna cry whenever I listen to it. It's called 'When I look at you'. so if you have faith in my taste of music, go check it out.

Anyway, an update on baby Aaliya's baptism.. She didnt cry at first when they put her into the water but blinked a few times and opened her eyes wide. Upon realising that she was surrounded by strange and somewhat unappealing priest's she immediatly started bawling her eyes out. Truth be told my cousins and I are pretty sure the head priest pinched her a bit to make her cry , but upon reciting this theory within ten yards of a grown-up we were quickly shushed and told not to speak such nonesense. Well those are adults for you, right?

I ended up not wearing the Ann Taylor/ Audrey Hepburn dress as it was way to lose for me. If  I had worn it, no doubt I wouldve ended up looking like a sack. Of potatoes.

Spent a week with my cousins from Madras and had a gorgeous time. We argued acrimoniously about who should go bankrupt in Monopoly, watched episodes of Dexter and HIMYM repeatedly and played PS3 to our hearts content!( i ended up losing every game, mind you.)

Well I have thouroughly described the last 15 days to a T and now, unfortunately, it's time to hit the books. :(
 xoxo Aditi.

Random rantings..

Was dancing wildly around my room with absolutely no music when I banged my hand into a chair. Ouch!( who put that there?)
Anyway, next saturday is my cousin sister Aaliyah's baptism and i have unofficially decided to wear my mom's cream silk Audrey Hepburn dress with her new peach satin clutch.( For the 98% people who aren't christian, a baptism is when you try and cure the baby of all things evil!) or so I think. Still pondering on the shoes and stuff but right now this is more important. The dress is old and a little rough around the edges, but it's still a solid vintage. And.... voila! here it is!
and now without much further ado.. the clutch..!!!

The clutch is from Aldo accesories and has this cute little side thingie made out of lace and gauze. the main body is a wraith of satin.it's all highly girly and 'snow princess' like( wait. was it ice princess or snow princess? Snow sounds better so i'm gonna stick to that) :D

just to let you know. I have a new role model, other than Tavi Givinson that is. Unsurprisingly, she's Indian too and she has this awesome blog called Fab Blab. She focuses mainly on fashion( ok.. totally on fashion) and her style of writing is quirky, funny, and totally bad ass!! People should totally check her out! Her name is Arushi Khosla.
well i think ive bored you for long enough sooo buh byee!
Aditi!
P.S- my fans( ok fine! my mom) has told me to improve my punctuation so from now on I do have to give a shit about capital letters and spelling mistakes.:(

lick lollies!

Orange is the colour for the summer people! it is certainly befitting  the season and has genarally caused a stir among fashionista's( god.. i love that word!! It hit the runway with Oscar De La Renta's 'ruffled organza blouses'( quoted from vogue ) I love that colour,( i mean who doesn't?) its bright, quirky and orangy... it reminds me of lick lollies that are sold at school for 5 bucks each and are absolute heaven during these gristly, hot summer days. but somehow it was expected... the lime green, lemon yellow and lick lolly orange( giggle!) The thing is these colours can only be worn with either black or white( no neutral shades please!) or other clashy colours!the only negative thing is if you want to wear it with black in this heat its gonna kill you! other than that minor glitch this funky colour is absolutely perfect for summer!!

CASTLEEE!!!! why are you soo awesommee? EMILLYY!! why are you so pregnant???

these are two of my top t.v shows of all time. i mean, how can they not be? surprisingly they are completly different from each other! the first is castle, which as you all may know is that show about this author who writes thrillers, rick castle, and how he starts helping at crime scenes to write his next book and cause he's got a might big crush on a certain detective, kate beckett?? hmmmmm? though you can tell there is a mutual atraction , they never really get it together. Bad timing in their relationships? Nope i just think the producers wanted some suspense...
welll the 3rd season is FINALLY coming out..(i bet for all you lucky american people it came out months ago) but here in poor' ol india EVERYTHING takes time. the much awaited season is coming out on 30th may and i'm just dying to see it! im just hoping that it'll live up to my high expectations!

the second t.v show i'm in lurvveee widd <3 <3 is' make it or break it' the gymnastic shingbang about 4 teenage girls trying to make it to the olympics. now as usual, my favourite charecter,Emily has been knocked up! well i cant blame the producers this time as the actress, Chelsea Hobbs, who is 26 btw got herself preggoo... i can just tell this is gonna end up like 'Juno'. obviously being  a self proclaimed human rights activist and all i dont want her to have an abortion( i'm talking about Emily, not Chelsea Hobbs) i just hope she can have the baby and then magicallly get her act together and win something or the other during the olympics!

p.s im not doing the whole capital letter thing as it's a waste of time!

The Chinese Invented gunpowder... but south indians made it famous!

Gunpowder.... It's a word associated with war's , fighting and basically anything gruesome!Fortunately if that word is mentioned anywhere in the midst of Delhi it makes your stomach rumble. It is indeed a fabulous restraunt situated at 22 Hauz Khas village, Delhi. The food is south indian and having just moved here from Kerala where dosa's and idli's rule the food chain, I was having a bout of homesickness and was therefore dying for some chemmeen varathu( prawn fry). So after much weedling and whining on my part we set of for Gunpowder on a burningly hot sunday afternoon. Upon reaching our destination we spent a good 20 minutes searching for the restraunt itself. Finally, we came upon a grimy staircase leading up ... and up... and up...
By the time we arrived at the narrow corridor  leading to the restraunt we had worked up quite an appetite. Lucky for us the climb stood us in good stead as we were ravenous. After much argument, we eventually decided on a sweet and sour prawn curry, panni varuthu( stir fried pork), chicken curry, methi daal, mango chutney and malabar paranthas. The food came surprisingly fast and so without much ado we dug into it. The chicken was quite nice, with the perfect balance of spices and gravy, the prawn( which i was most looking forward to) was , to some extent a bit of a dissapointment as the lime, spices and sugar did not go well together but it was still fairly edible. The dish of the day would have had to be the pork, which was fried to a crisp and tasted like home.the daal didnt look appetizing at all but turned out to be surprisingly delicious as for the mango chutney? one word. Fantabulous!( that is a word , okay?) .To put an end to a perfect meal we ordered 'semiya payasam' which is a sweetdish consisting of milk, sugar, vermicelli and cashews. On a hot day like that it would have been wonderful to eat it cold but I , being my idiotic self, went and stuffed it in the microwave. It still turned out fantastic though. I must say that for those who are in Delhi you must try this restraunt out.. it will knock your socks off ( though in this heat, who wears socks anyway?)

Its All That!

Hi, i'm Aditi Chandna, i'm 14 years old and I live in Delhi ( for those who suck at geography, thats the capital of India). Truth be told my inspiration for this blog is a certain 15 year old girl called Tavi. I've read her blogs and think she is da bomb! The blog itself is gonna be about everything and anything.. but because of the fact that I'm a 14 year old girl it's probably just gonna revolve around the latest t.v shows, the hottest gossip , fashion trends and last but most definately not the least FOOD!! This is something I love, and I'm going to be telling you all about it! well I hope you guys enjoy my blog!
cheers, Aditi.
